DescriptionWoven basket with a square base. The side transition from square to a circular opening. The basket has a circular lid (2.8 cm). The basket and lid are woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. The warp splints on the basket (0.4 cm and 0.8 cm) are narrower than the weft splints (1.7 cm). The wider splints are around the middle of the basket and around the mouth, around the mouth of the basket is a row of diamond jikiji’j. The warp splint on the lid are three widths (0.6 cm, 0.3 cm and 0.2 cm) that narrow toward the middle of the lid. The weft splint on the lid alternate between two widths (0.8 cm and 0.4 cm). Along the top of the lid is a row of diamond jikiji’j and in the center of the lid is a wood splint loop. The rim of the basket and the lid are single bound wood splint. Collections
