DescriptionWoven basket with a square base. The side transition from square to a circular opening. The basket has a circular lid (2.5 cm). The basket and lid are woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. The warp splints on the basket (0.4 cm) are narrower than the weft splints (0.8 cm). The basket is decorated with tiny diamond jikiji’j in interlocking loops. The warp splints on the lid are two different widths (0.4 cm and 0.2 cm) are narrower than the weft splints (0.8 cm). The wider warp splint on the lid are around the edge and the narrower are in the center. The top of the lid has jikiji’j. The rim of the basket and the lid are single bound wood splint. Collections
