DescriptionWoven basket with a square base. The side transition from square to a circular opening. The basket has a circular lid (2.5 cm). The basket and lid are woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. The warp splints on the basket (0.4 cm) are narrower than the weft splints (0.8 cm). There are wider warp splints (0.9 cm) around the middle and at the top of the basket that are bridged by diamond jikiji’j, the jikiji’j around the middle are is a wave-like pattern. The warp splint on the lid (0.4 cm are narrower than the weft splints (0.6 cm and 0.9 cm) which alternate between the two widths. The rim of the basket is single bound wood splint and the rim of the lid is double wrapped sweet grass. Collections
