DescriptionWoven basket with a square base. The side transition from square to a circular opening. The basket has a circular lid (2.2 cm). The basket and lid are woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. The warp splints on the basket are two different widths (0.5 cm and 0.9 cm) and are narrower than the weft splints (2.0 cm). The wider splints are around the middle and near the top, the splints at the top are bridged by a row of diamond jikiji’j. The warp splints on the lid (0.4) are narrower than the weft splints which alternate between two widths (1.0 cm and 0.4 cm). The rim of the basket is single bound wood splint and the rim of the lid is single bound sweet grass. Collections
