DescriptionWoven basket with a square base. The side transition from square to a circular opening. The basket has a circular lid (4.5 cm). The basket and lid are woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. The warp splints on the basket (1.3 cm) are narrower than the weft splints (2.2 cm). The warp splints on the lid are three different widths (0.5 cm, 0.9 cm and 0.3 cm). The narrowest warp splints are near the center of the lid, the middle width are on the sides of the lid and the widest are two rows on the top edge which are bridged by a row of diamond jikiji’j. The weft splints on the lid alternate between two widths (1.0 cm and 0.6 cm) The rim of the basket is single bound wood splint and the rim on the lid is single bound sweetgrass. Collections
