DescriptionWoven basket with a square base. The side transition from square to a circular opening. The basket has a circular lid (4.5 cm). The basket and lid are woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. The warp splints on the basket are three different widths (1.1 cm, 1.3 cm and 2.2 cm) are narrower than the weft splints (2.3 cm). The narrowest are at the top of the basket, followed by the widest and the middle width at the bottom. Where the widest splints are positioned is a row of diamond jikiji’j. The warp splint on the lid are two widths (1.1 cm and 0.3 cm) and the weft splints alternate between two widths (2.3 cm and 0.7 cm). The warp splints on the side are the wider with and narrow toward the center of the lid. The rim of the basket and the lid are single bound wood splint. Collections
