DescriptionWoven basket with a square base. The side transition from square to a circular opening. The basket has a circular lid (4.5 cm). The basket and lid are woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. The warp splints on the basket (0.7 cm and 2.0) are narrower than the weft splints (2.2 cm). The wider are lower on the basket and they narrow toward the top. There is a single handle on the side of the basket woven in with the warp splints. The warp splints (1.3 cm, 0.4 cm, 0.8 cm) are narrower than the weft splints (1.6 cm). The middle warp width are on the sides, the widest around the top edge and the narrowest in batches of 5 splints near the center and edge. In the middle of the basket one of the weft splints in bent to form a handle. The rim of the basket and the lid are double bound wood splint. Collections
