DescriptionWoven basket with a square base. The side transition from square to a circular opening. The basket has a circular lid (6.0 cm). The basket and lid are woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. The warp splints on the basket (1.6 cm) are narrower than the weft splints (2.2 cm). On opposite sides of the basket there are wood splint handles that are woven into the basket sides. The warp splints on the lid are two widths (2.2 cm and 0.8 cm) the narrower warp splints are on the top of the lid. The weft splints on the lid are the same width as the basket (2.2 cm). The rim of the basket is wood splints nailed to the basket and the rim of the lid is single bound wood splint. In the middle of the lid is a large wood splint wrapped ring. Collections
