DescriptionWoven basket with a circular base. The sides are straight forming a circular opening. The basket has a circular lid (4.5 cm). The basket and lid are woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. The warp splints on the basket are three widths (0.3 cm, 0.7 cm and 1.6 cm) and are mostly narrower than the weft splints (1.5 cm). The widest splints are near the top and around the bottom. The ones at the bottom are bridged by a row of diamond jikiji’j, the middle width splint is above at the top. The narrowest splints are around the middle of the basket. The warp splints on the lid are two widths (0.2 cm and 1.5 cm) and are narrower than the weft splints (1.5 cm). The wider warp splints are on the sides of the lid and near the edge and are bridged by a row of diamond jikiji’j near the middle of the lid is several rows of sweet grass. The rim of the basket is single bound wood splint and the rim of the lid is single wrapped sweet grass. Collections
