DescriptionWoven basket with a square base. The side transition from square to a circular opening. The basket has a circular lid (4.5 cm). The basket and lid are woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. The warp splints on the basket (0.7 cm) are narrower than the weft splints (1.8 cm). There is also a wider warp splint (1.2 cm) around the bottom of the basket. The warp splints on the lid are two different widths (0.5 cm and 1.5 cm). The wider splints are on the side of the lid and are bridged by a row of diamond jikiji’j and the narrower splint are on the top with several rows of sweet grass throughout. The warp splints are all one width (1.7 cm) and they narrow toward the center. The rim of the basket is single bound wood splint and the rim of the lid is single wrapped sweet grass. Collections
