DescriptionWoven basket with a circular base. The side are straight forming a circular opening. The basket has a circular lid (4.5 cm). The basket and lid are woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. The warp splints on the basket alternate between two widths (1.5 cm and 0.9 cm) and are narrower than the weft splints (1.6 cm). Near the bottom of the basket is two rows of diamond jikiji’j that bridge two rows of the wider warp splints. The weft splints on the lid alternate between two different widths (0.7 cm and 1.8 cm) The outer warps splints (1.3 cm) are wider than the narrower than the inner warp splints (0.9 cm). Near the edge of the of the lid is a wave like pattern of diamond jikiji’j. The rim of the basket is single wrapped sweet grass and the rim on the lid is single wrapped wood splint. Collections
