DescriptionWoven basket with a circular base. The side are straight forming a circular opening. The basket has a circular lid (3.0 cm). The basket and lid are woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. The warp splints on the basket (0.5 cm) are narrower than the weft splints (1.3 cm). Around the top of the basket is several rows of a wider warp splint (0.9 cm) over some of these is a row of “X” shaped jikiji’j. The warp splints on the lid are two widths (0.6 cm and 0.2 cm) and the weft splints alternate between two widths (1.2 cm and 0.3 cm). The narrower warp splints are toward the middle of the lid. On the top of the lid is a row of “X” shaped jikiji’j. The rim of the basket is single bound wood splint and the rim of the lid is single wrapped sweet grass. Collections
