DescriptionWoven basket with a circular base. The sides are straight forming a circular opening. The basket has a circular lid (3.0 cm). The basket and lid are woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. The warp splints on the basket are two widths (1.2 cm and 0.4 cm) which are narrower than the weft splints (1.3 cm). At the bottom of the basket there are several rows of braided sweet grass in place of wood splints there are also two rows of braided sweet grass near the top. Between the bands of braided sweet grass. The warp splints alternate between the two widths and the wider splints are dyed yellow. The warp splints on the lid are also two different widths (0.9 cm and 0.4 cm) which are narrower than the weft splints (1.3 cm). The warp on the sides and outer edge of the lid are braided sweet grass. Near the middle of the lid the warp splints alternate between the two widths and the wider splints are dyed yellow. In the center there is several rows of sweet grass and a yellow dyed wood splint ring. The rim of the basket is single bound wood splint and the rim of the lid is double bound sweet grass.
