DescriptionWoven basket with a circular base. The side are flared to form a larger circular opening. The basket has two ring handles attached to the rim of the basket. The basket is woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. The warp splints are three different widths (1.8 cm, 1.5 cm and 0.4 cm) and are mostly wider than the weft splints (1.3 cm). The widest warps splints are located at the top and near the bottom of the basket with are bridged to form two rows of diamond jikiji’j at the top and bottom and are dyed yellow. The very bottom of the basket is the narrowest splints. The middle of basket alternates between rows of braided sweet grass, the narrowest with and the middle width. The rim of the basket is double wrapped sweet grass. Attached to either side of the rim is a wood splint wrapped ring. The basket contains two notes. Collections
