DescriptionWoven basket with a circular base. The sides are straight forming a circular opening. The basket has a circular lid (3.0 cm). The basket and lid are woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. The warp splints on the basket are mostly one width (1.0 cm) with a single band of a narrow width near the middle (0.5 cm). The weft splint alternate between two widths (1.2 cm and 0.6 cm). Around the bottom of the basket is a row of jikiji’j that are colored pink. The weft splints on the lid also alternate between two widths (1.5 cm and 0.3 cm), the warp splints on the lid are also different widths (1.2 cm and 0.7 cm). On the top of the lid is a row of jikiji’j that are dyed red and a loop of wood splints that is also dyed red. The rim of the basket and the lid are single bound sweet grass. Collections
