DescriptionWoven basket with a circular base. The sides are straight forming a circular opening. The basket has a circular lid (3.0 cm). The basket and lid are woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. The warp splints on the basket (1.0 cm and 1.4 cm) are narrower than the weft splints (2.0 cm). The wider splints are about 1/3 of the way down the basket and are bridged by a row of diamond jikiji’j. The lid of the basket has two different width warp splints (0.7 cm and 0.4 cm) as well as two different width weft splints (1.2 cm and 1.4 cm). The weft splints alternate between the two widths, while the warp splints are mostly the narrower splints. The rim of the basket and the lid are single bound wood splint. Collections
