DescriptionWoven basket with a circular base. The sides are straight forming a circular opening. The basket has a circular lid (4.5 cm). The basket and lid are woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. The warp splints on the basket (0.8 cm) are narrower than the weft splints (1.8 cm). Near the top of the basket is a row of diamond jikiji’j bridging two warp rows. The weft splints on the lid alternate between two different widths (1.3 cm and 0.7 cm) the outside warp splint (1.2 cm) are wider than the inside splints (1.0 cm). Around the top edge of the lid is a wave-like pattern of diamond jikiji’j that bridge two warps splints. The rim of the basket is single bound wood splint and the rim of the lid is single wrapped sweetgrass. Collections
