DescriptionWoven basket with a circular base. The side bulge and then narrow to a circular opening. The basket has a circular lid (3.3 cm). The basket and lid are woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. The warp splints of the basket (0.5 cm) are mostly narrower than the weft splints (1.4 cm). Near the top of the basket there is two rows of wider warp splints (1.4 cm) that are bridged by a row of diamond jikiji’j. The warps splints on the lid (0.8 cm) are narrower than the weft (1.4 cm). There is also a row of diamond jikiji’j on the top of the lid that also bridge two warp rows. The rim of the basket and the lid are single bound wood splint. In the center of the lid is a loop of wood splints. Collections
