DescriptionWoven basket with a square base. The side transition from square to a circular opening. The basket has a circular lid (3.3 cm). The basket and lid are woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. The warp splints on the basket (0.6 cm) are narrower than the weft splints (1.7 cm). The warp splints on the lid (0.6 cm) are also narrower than the weft splints (1.4 cm). Near the center of the lid is several rows of sweet grass. In the middle of the lid is a ring of woven wood splints. The rim of the basket is single bound wood splint and the rim on the lid is single bound sweet grass. Collections
