DescriptionWoven basket with a square base. The side transition from square to a circular opening. The basket has a circular lid (2.5 cm). The basket and lid are woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. The warp splints on the basket are two difference widths (0.7 cm and 1.7 cm). The wider splints are located at the top of the basket while the narrower splints are at the bottom of the basket. The weft splints on the basket are all one width (1.7 cm). Near the top of the basket is a wave like band of diamond jikiji’j. The warp splints on the are also two different widths (0.8 cm and 0.4) with the narrower near the center of the basket. The weft alternate between two widths (1.1 cm and 0.3 cm). The rim of the basket and the lid are single bound wood splint. Collections
