DescriptionWoven basket with a square base. The side transition from square to a circular opening. The basket has a circular lid (2.5 cm). The basket and lid are woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. The warp splints on the basket (1.0 cm) are narrower than the weft splints (1.4 cm). Near the top of the basket is a row of diamond jikiji’j. The weft splints on the lid alternate between two widths (0.5 cm and 1.1 cm). The warp splints near the edge (0.6 cm) of the lid are wider than the ones nearer the center (0.3 cm). Near the edge of the basket is a row of diamond jikiji’j. The rim of the basket and the lid are single bound wood splint. Collections
