DescriptionWoven basket with a circular base. The side narrow to form a smaller circular opening. The basket has a circular lid (3.0 cm). The basket and lid are woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. The warp splints on the basket (0.7 cm) are narrower than the weft splints (1.8 cm). Near the top of the basket is a row of diamond jikiji’j. The warp splints on the lid are two different widths (1.0 cm and 0.5 cm) and the weft splints are all one width (0.8 cm). The narrower warp splints are closer to the center of the lid and the wider ones are closer to the edge. The rim of the basket and the lid are single bound wood splint. Collections
