DescriptionWoven basket with a square base. The side are straight forming a square opening. The basket has a single curved handle and a lid that is attached to the handle and a removable square tray. The basket, lid and tray are woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. The warp splints on the basket and lid (1.6 cm) are narrower than the weft splints (2.0 cm). The warp splints on the tray (1.3 cm) are also narrower than the weft (1.9 cm). The rim of the basket is a single bound wood splint. The basket has a single curved wooden handle that is notched where it meets the rim. The handle is woven into the basket with the weft splints. The lid is passes through two holes in the lid. The rim on the basket and lid are double wrapped wood splints and the rim on the tray is single wrapped wood splints. Collections
