DescriptionA clear plastic, 2 liter milk jug with circular orange label and orange cap. The base of the jug is square with flat, rectangular shaped walls, slightly rounded at the top edge with a sloped shoulder. A handle is present on the top of the back. A rectangular, portrait oriented label is present on the front side with “2% PARTLY SKIMMED MILK Homogenized Pasteurized Purity THE WAY MILK IS MEANT TO BE / LAIT PARTIELLEMENT ECREME Homogeneise Pasteurise 2L KEEP REFRIGERATED GARDER AU REFRIGERATEUR” printed on the top half. On the bottom half are sections with nutrition facts, ingredients, ISBN, best before date, and recycling symbol.
Narrative

Purity Dairy was founded in 1946 by Gladys and Eugene Cullen in Charlottetown. The business started by delivering milk by horse and wagon to the residents of Charlottetown. Their range of products grew to include white and chocolate milk, cream, eggnog, cultured dairy products, and non-dairy milk. It was operated by second and third generation Cullens at the time that the company was sold to Amalgamated Dairy Limited in 2023.
