DescriptionSword with straight steel blade that has a flat back. The first 12 inch section of blade is blued and decorated with gold coloured line engravings of flower, leaves and crowns. The knuckle guard is of gilt brass with two kidney-shaped shells at the base. The grip is wood bound with twisted silver wire. The pommel is decorated with acanthus leaves. The scabbard is black leather with two metal bands each with a loose ring at one edge. The upper metal band has a frog stud, or catch, on one side for the sword to be suspended from a belt.
