DescriptionA rectangular postcard with an image of a grey, black and white ship, with people visible at the front of the ship. Dark smoke is rising from at least three smoke stacks. Around the ship is white ice. In the top right corner is black text which says "Car Ferry, "Prince Edward Island" / Ice Breaker, Northumberland Straits." On the back of the postcard is printed "THIS SPACE FOR WRITING MESSAGES" in the top left corner with a vertical line at the center of the card. On the right side of the line is printed "Post / Card / THIS SPACE FOR ADDRESS ONLY". A handwritten message is present on the left side which says: "Dear Papa I am/ getting along/ fine I was only/ out on ? two/ days yet so that/ makes it easier/ for me hope you/ are getting a cor?/ all right I will be home wednesday/ from Dan". On the left is handwritten an address for: "Mr. John H McDonald / New Dominion / Lot 65 / PEI". In the top right corner is a red two cent postage stamp. Collections
