DescriptionKermit, the frog: stuffed toy with green felted polyester body with tubular arms and legs. Applied feet flare to four triangular toes; hands have four digits. Interior of open mouth is bright pink, with light pink tongue and black "gullet". White plastic hemispherical eyes with black pupils. Light green collar with triangular points around the neck. Velcro fastenings on lower hands and ankles. Toy of the Year for 1977.
Narrative
For a period of time, PEI Museum & Heritage Foundation purchases "Toys of the Year" to add to the permanent artifact collection. In 1977, Kermit the Frog was that toy. This particular Kermit was purchased at Canadian Tire in December of that year.
