DescriptionMilitary sword belt with two straps extending from the belt. At one end is a brass buckle that is attached to the belt by a buckle. Between the two buckles is a section of belt that is doubled. There is one loop around this section. At the other end of the belt is a brass hook for the buckle. A longer extension piece that is attached by a leather loop can be moved along the strap. Attached to the buckle end is a shorter extension piece that is not movable and is held on to the belt by a brass clip, which is sewn on to the belt. A brass ring is on the side of the clip and attached to it is a brass hook. At the end of the shorter extension is a buckle with a loop attached. The belt is decorated with two lines of metallic-like thread that go the length of the belt and is also on the two trailing pieces of the belt. In addition to the threads there is a crest with a crown on the top on the brass buckle surrounded by a leaf design. The crest has the words "Militia Engineers" around the outside and "VR" inside the circle.
