DescriptionBeaded needlepoint hand held firescreen; Circular convex metal base, B, supports metal column. Porcelain sleeve over bottom section of column. Horizontal metal column near top forms "T". Six tiny rings on horizontal column hold shield-shaped fire screen. Fire screen is wool petite point and bead-work with satin backing. Gold, olive, grey and white; metal is brass colored; porcelain is white; satin is dark green. Tassels are velour with wood finials. Originally had five tassels on bottom edge of "shield"; ends of columns have bowling pin shaped finials; beads and petite point form floral and geometric motif; leaf and dome embossings on metal base.Collections
