DescriptionWhite baby romper with red hearts. The front of the bib is decorated with embroidery of a dog and flowers. The legs of the romper have elastic in the cuff and there is three ruffles on the sides of the legs and around the back of the romper. Each of the ruffles is edged in red ric-rac. The top of the romper had a bib style front that is also edged in red ric-rac. There is also elastic around the back of the waist. There is a ruffle around the top and sides bib and there are two straps that tie to a loop on the back of the waist. Narrative
Lulu started exhibiting her work through the Women's Institute Pavilion as part of the PEI Provincial Exhibition and continued to exhibit for 40 years. Her work always won first place in the competitions.
Lulu was an avid sewer, making a variety of doll, baby and children's clothing which she sold in many locations, including the Singer sewing machine store. Many people also came to her house to buy clothes.
