DescriptionAn unused postcard with a colour photograph of a farmhouse with green roof and shutters on the front. In front of the house there several chairs with people sitting and standing. There is also a row of flowers in the foreground. The reverse of the card is divided at the center by a vertical line of small font. At the top center of the left side is printed "The Home of Anne of Green Gables / Cavendish, Prince Edward Island / From colour photo by Craswell Portrait Studio / Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island". On the right side is a marked area for a postage stamp and address.
Narrative
Green Gables is the home of the fictional character Anne Shirley who was created by Island author Lucy Maud Montgomery. The house is part of the L.M. Montgomery's Cavendish National Historic Site inside the Prince Edward Island National Park.
