DescriptionRectangular box with rounded corners. Interior lid and base are covered with bamboo splints woven in 2/2 twill. Sides are covered with 2/2 twill set on diagonal. Exterior body and lid are faced with vertical panels whose ends are sliced in a shallow cavetto curve, exposing the pith. Double splint rim at mouth, side of lid, and base. Splints are secured with thin bamboo splints, knotted at intervals. Wrapped loop handle on lid; thin splint hinges at rear. "x" lacing on exterior panels; knotted lacing at rims.Collections
