DescriptionSquare bottom woven basket with straight sides and a wooden “D” shaped handle. Brown, faded green interior. Checker woven pattern is created from the 1 over, 1 under Method; warp is approx. 1.5cm wide; weft varies in size with widest piece measuring 1.8cm wide; interior was originally dyed green but has either faded or worn away over time;“D” shaped handle has notched ends inserted into the weaving; inner rim is bound to basket with strip of wooden splint.Collections
