DescriptionA machine made, brown glass “case gin” bottle with four flat walls that taper to a square base. Walls have rounded side corners and the top edge is convex. There are raised, molded letters on the front side, orientated vertically. The top of the bottle has slightly sloped shoulder, a short neck, and a narrow mouth. This style of bottle is associated with "case gin". The shape helped to pack more bottles into a crate for shipping. The square shape also prevented the bottles from rolling and smashing during transport by ship.
