Erica Rutherford (1923-2008) was a multidisiplinary artist, actor and author. Born in Scotland and assigned male at birth, Erica moved to PEI in 1985. Erica discovered her love of visual art at the age of 34. A member of the Royal Canadian Academy of Artists, Erica created exhibition venues for local and visiting artists in Charlottetown and was instrumental in founding the PEI Printmakers Council. Between 1986-1994 Erica authored five books, including an autobiography.
