DescriptionWoven basket with a circular base. The side are straight forming a circular opening. The basket has a single curved handle. The basket is woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. The warp splints (1.6 cm) are the same width as the weft splints (1.6 cm). The basket has a row of diamond jikiji’j around the top and bottom of the basket. There are also two narrower warp splints (0.4 cm) around the middle of the basket. The rim of the basket is a single bound sweet grass. The basket has a single curved wooden handle that is notched where it meets the rim. The handle is woven into the basket with the weft splints. There are also two loose wood splints one is 2.3 cm wide (B) and the other is 0.7 cm wide (C). Collections
