DescriptionWoven basket with a rectangular base. The side are flared to form a circular opening. The basket has a single curved handle. The basket is woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. The warp splints (0.7 cm) are narrower than the weft splints (1.6 cm). Near the top of the basket is three rows of wider warp splints (1.1 cm). Bridging the upper two rows of the wider warp splints is a row of diamond jikiji’j. The rim of the basket is a single bound wood splint. The basket has a single curved wooden handle that is notched where it meets the rim. The handle is woven into the basket with the weft splints.Collections
