DescriptionWoven basket with a square base. The side are slightly flared forming a larger square opening. The basket is woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. Most of the warp splints (1.6 cm) are wider than the weft splints (1.2 cm). Around the middle of the basket is four rows of narrower splints (0.3 cm). Between two rows at the top and bottom of the basket is a row of diamond jikiji’j. The rim is single wrapped sweet grass. On two of the sides of the basket is a small D-shaped handle that is notched where it meets the rim and is woven into the basket. Some of the warp splints are dyed pink. Collections
