DescriptionWoven basket with a circular base. The side are slightly flared forming a larger circular opening. The basket is woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. Most of the warp splints alternate in width (0.5 cm and 0.2 cm) and are narrower than the weft splints (1.4 cm). Near the top is two rows of wider splints (1.5 cm) over which is a herringbone stitch like design. The rim is single wrapped sweet grass. The warp splints alternate between being dyed green and pink, the narrowest and widest splints are dyed pink and the mid-width splints and the herringbone stitch are dyed green. On the sides of the basket are two D-shaped handles that are notched where they meet the rim and are woven into the basket. Collections
