DescriptionWoven wall hanging basket with a rectangular base and slightly flared sides including the back which extends beyond the height above the rest of the edge of the basket. The basket is woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern with uniform warp and weft splints (1.4 cm). The base consists of the warp splints that alternate with three rows of twisted twine. The rim is wood splint single bound with another wood splint at the center front of the rim one of the weft splints is nailed to the outside. The upper part of the back is vaguely pyramid shaped with the same width warp and weft splints. At the very top of the back are six rows of the twisted twine there are then three rows of the warp that alternate with the twisted twine. Attached to the back is a wood splint loop that is wrapped in twisted twine. Most of the splint are dyed pink and the warp splints at the top of the base is dyed green. Collections
