DescriptionWoven wall hanging basket with a rectangular base and slightly flared sides including the back which extends beyond the height above the rest of the edge of the basket. The basket is woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern with uniform weft splints (1.2 cm) and two different width warp splints (0.2 cm and 2.6 cm). The base consists of the wider warp splints. There is also two wider warp splints in the middle that are separated by a single narrow warp splint. The rim is wood splint single bound with another wood splint. The upper part of the back is vaguely pyramid shaped with mostly narrower warp splint with a wide warp splint in the center of the back top. Attached to the back is a loop of string for hanging. The top most section of warp splints appear to be dyed blue/green. Collections
