DescriptionWoven wall hanging basket with a rectangular base and slightly flared sides including the back which extends beyond the height above the rest of the edge of the basket. The basket is woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern with uniform weft splints (1.6 cm) and varying width warp splints (1.0 cm- 1.7 cm). The weft splints are dyed purple while the largest warp splints are red, the narrowest are purple and the medium width splint are natural brown. In the center of the basket is a set of three strings that act as the warp, these strings are yellow in color. The rim is sweetgrass single bound with a wood splint. The upper part of the back is vaguely pyramid shaped with the warp splint narrowing closer to the top. In the center of the top is a small semi-circular hanging loop. Collections
