DescriptionWoven basket with a square base. The side are flared forming a larger square opening. There are two D shaped handles, positioned opposite one another. The basket is woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. Most of the warp splints (0.2 cm) are narrower than the weft splints (1.2 cm). Around the top and bottom of the are two rows of a wider splint (1.0 cm) between which is a row of diamond jikiji’j. The rim of the basket single wrapped sweet grass on a solid wood splint frame. On two of the sides is a small D-shaped handle that is carved to fit around the rim and is woven in with the weft splints. Collections
