DescriptionWoven basket with a circular base. The side are flared forming a larger circular opening. Attached to the sides of the basket are two circular handle. The basket is woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. The warp splint (0.6 cm) are narrower than the weft splints (1.5 cm). Near the top of the basket is a band of warp splints that are different than the rest of the basket. At the top and bottom of the band is two red dyed splints (0.2 cm). Between these red splints is 10 rows braided sweet grass with two braids making up a row. The rim is single wrapped sweetgrass with a solid wood splint. There is a second rim of single wrapped sweetgrass around the bottom. The handles are wrapped in wood splints. Collections
