DescriptionUrn shaped basket with two circular handles, one on either side, and a lid which sits into the urn. The lid has a small ring on the top. The basket and lid are made of braided and woven sweetgrass and wood splints. Around the middle of the basket is a section of wood splints woven in a diagonal pattern with alternating dyed splints in yellow, purple and red. Around the rim of both the lid and basket are sweetgrass that are double wrapped in red dyed wood splints. The base of the basket is bound in the same way as the lid. The handles and the ring on the top of the basket are made of braided braids of sweetgrass. The ring on the top is affixed to the basket by red dyed wood splints. The lid has a wood splint that is double bound in wood splints that is inside the rim and when combined with the basket sits inside the basket. Collections
