DescriptionWoven basket with a square base. The side are slightly flared forming a larger square opening. The basket has two small D-shaped handles on two of the sides. The basket is woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. Most of the warp splints (1.3 cm) are the same width of as the weft splints (1.3 cm). The splints are grouped in pairs between which is a row of diamond jikiji’j. between the pairs and below the lower pair is several rows of narrower warp splints (0.4 cm). The rim is single wrapped sweet grass. The handles are D-shaped, are notched where they meet the rim and are woven into the basket with the weft. Some of warp splints are dyed green. Collections
