DescriptionWoven basket with a rectangular base. The side transition to form an oval opening. The basket has a single curved handle. The basket is woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. The warp splints (0.9 cm) are narrower than the weft splints (2.0 cm). The warp splints at the top are made of plastic. The basket is decorated with rows of diamond jikiji’j that are also made of plastic. The rim of the basket is a single bound plastic strips over wood splints that are wrapped with plastic. The basket has a single curved wooden handle that has a shaped grip in the center of the curve. The handle is woven into the basket with the weft splints.Collections
