DescriptionWoven basket with a rectangular base. The side transition to form an oval opening. The basket has a single curved handle. The basket is woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. The warp splints (0.8 cm) are narrower than the weft splints (2.0 cm). Near the bottom of the basket there are wider warp splints (1.1 cm). The basket is decorated with rows of diamond jikiji’j. The rim of the basket is a single bound wood splints. The basket has a single curved wooden handle that has a shaped grip in the center of the curve. The handle is woven into the basket with the weft splints.Collections
