DescriptionWoven basket with a rectangular base. The side transition to form an oval opening. The basket has a single curved handle. The basket is woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. The warp splints (0.9 cm) are narrower than the weft splints (1.7 cm). Near the middle of the basket is a single wider warp splint (1.1 cm). The basket is decorated with rows of diamond jikiji’j. One row of jikiji’j is a wood splint while the rest of the rows of jikiji’j are plastic. The rim of the basket is a single bound sweet grass. The basket has a single curved wooden handle that is woven into the basket with the weft splints.Collections
