DescriptionWoven basket with a rectangular base. The side are flared to form an oval opening. The basket has a single curved handle. The basket is woven in a one-over-one-under checker pattern. The warp splints (0.8 cm) are narrower than the weft splints (1.4 cm). Near the top of the basket is a single warp splint that is wider (1.1 cm). The rim of the basket is a double bound wood splint. The basket has a single curved wooden handle that is notched where it meets the rim the handle also has a shaped grip in the center of the curve. The handle is woven into the basket with the weft splints. Collections
